  1. Who is your favorite disney character?

    Mulan.

  2. What is your favorite disney movie?

    Old Yeller.

  3. What is your favorite food?

    Mexican - maybe? Italian? Chinese? Indian? Depends on my mood. Anything that can have onions and garlic in it!

  4. What is your favorite animal?

    Dolphins.

  5. What is your favorite color?

    Ethereal Iceberg Blue.

  6. What is your favorite drink?

    It used to be a root beer float, but now I don't know anymore. Maybe - my morning smoothie?

  7. What is your favorite tv show?

    “Billions”

  8. What’s your top three favorite places you’ve ever traveled?

    Denmark, Sweden, Hawaii.

  9. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

    Hawaii.

  10. What does your average day look like?

    Teaching and Grading.

  11. What do you spend a ridiculous amount of money on?

    I don't spend "silly money" on anything. Even my most expensive car was under $25K. I don't buy alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, make-up or any of those other expensive items that do nothing to enhance my life. Even my furniture is mostly from IKEA's As-Is room. And while I love technology, I only buy it when it is on clearance. I have never even owned an I-Phone because of its price.

  12. If you only had two extra hours per day outside of work, what would you spend it on?

    Learning Piano.  

  13. What has become more important for you in the last few years?

    Trying to eliminate the detritus of my life.

  14. What has become less important for you in the last few years?

    Miscellaneous stuff.

  15. What would you do/have/be if you had $10 million dollars?

    A house in Hawaii and a catamaran.

  16. What can you do that will be remembered in 200-400 years?

    LOL! I would like to think that I might even be remembered in 20-40 years, but I have my doubts...

  17. What assets do you have (not financial)?

    Seven of the most awesome "kids" on the planet!

  18. When you think of the word successful, who comes to mind?

    That I have made it to old age and still haven't gone to jail.

  19. What is something you believe that other people think is insane?

    That the last election (2016) was stolen through voting machine hacking in key States and it will be even worse / more rampant in November.

  20. What is the book (or books) that you’ve gifted and/or discussed/referenced the most?

    Poetry books.

  21. What is your favorite documentary or movie?

    “To Kill a Mockingbird”

  22. What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last couple years?

    My Kindle.

  23. What are your morning rituals? What do the first 60minutes of your day look like?

    Walk and feed the dogs, make my smoothie, go to school.

  24. What obsessions do you explore on the evenings or weekends?

    I have nothing that I would characterize as an obssession.

  25. What topic would you speak about if you were asked to give a ted talk on something outside your main area of expertise?

    Making sure that voting machines are not hacked in the next election.

  26. Do you have a quote you live your life by or think about often?

    To whom much is given, much is required. MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

  27. What is the worst advice you see or hear being dispensed in the world?

    Don't get involved - it is somebody else's business.

  28. If you could have one gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it, what would it say?

    To whom much is given, much is required. MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

  29. What is something weird or unsettling that happens to you on a regular basis?

    The smoke detectors go off in the house when Will comes to visit.

  30. What have you changed your mind about in the last few years, why?

    I changed my mind about my allegiance to this country. I was the first woman to ever march in the color guard at West Point. I was willing to fight, kill and die for what I thought our flag stood for. But now I just see it all as one great big LIE. We are the biggest hypocrites, takers, and users on the planet - not to mention the most sanctimonious bigots.

  31. What do you believe is true, even though you can’t prove it?

    I believe that enzymes are the future of medicine.

  32. How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success? or, do you have a favorite failure of yours?

    SO MANY FAILURES, so little space ...

  33. What advice would you give to your 20-, 25-, or 30-year-old self? and please place where you were at the time, and what you were doing?

    Don't stress out so much that your kids disrespect you. They will treat you like shit no matter WHAT you try to do for them.

  34. What is the best or most worthwhile investment you’ve made? could be an investment of money, time, energy, or other resource. How did you decide to make the investment?

    Invested time in a new friendship that I stumbled into. I was not looking for a relationship with anyone, because I do not generally trust people not to cause harm. But THIS PERSON was persistent and the sheer force of her personality made the "decision" for me.

  35. If you were teaching a ninth grade class, what would you teach?

    Math and Personal Responsibility.

  36. What do you think financially successful people who are generally unhappy in common?

    A complete lack of vision.

  37. If you had to choose three herbs or spices to cook with for the next year, what would they be?

    Onions, garlic, peppers - all proof that God exists and that She loves us.

  38. Do you medidate?

    Not with any regularity.

  39. What is the best or most worthwhile investment you’ve made?

    My home.

  40. Who are three people or sources you’ve learned from- or followed closely- in the last year?

    My friend, Danielle, and I will have to think about two others...

  41. What is the worst advice you see or hear given in your tradE?

    Let teenagers just be teenagers.

  42. If you were a billionaire and you could give 2-3 books to every graduating high schooler, what would they be?

    I have to think about this one…

  43. What are some of the choices you’ve made that made you who you are?

    To get married and have children even though I SWORE I never would - and to teach mathematics even though language is naturally my strong suit.

  44. What’s the best lessons your father ever taught you?

    I can't think of a good lesson he ever taught me, and I do not even know if he was actually my father since he was positive that he wasn't. But from watching how violent, hateful, and hostile he was, I did choose to "learn" how NEVER to treat another human being - and ESPECIALLY how not to treat or speak to a child. So, THANKS, Donald. Your bad example was nonetheless didactic.

  45. What’s the best lessons your mother ever taught you?

    Not to be a racist.

  46. What are you waiting for?

    To be able to retire.

  47. If you were fired from your job today, what would you do to get things together financially?

    Sell my home.

  48. What do you owe your community?

    To be a good citizen and clean up after my dogs!

  49. Is there anything you would die for?

    For any one of my children or grandchildren.

  50. What is your idea of happiness?

    Being able to wake up each day surrounded by trees and mountains and look out at a vast expanse of water.

  51. What is your idea of wealthy?

    Being able to afford the place that makes me happy (see above).

  52. How do you ideally see yourself at the age of 75?

    Dead.

  53. What do you always have with you when you leave the house?

    My sense of wonderment and my hopeful expectation that I will see a BEAUTIFUL sky!!!

  54. If you could automatically learn another language or two, what would they be? 

    Spanish, Chinese and relearn Russian and Arabic.
