Chronology
1969: Discovery of oil reserves in the North Sea off the coast of Norway (Norway by DK).

1905: Norwegian King Haakon VII, Queen Maud, and Crown Prince Olav take up residence in the palace in Oslo (Norway by DK).
Nov, 1814: Swedish Crown Prince Karl Johan accepts the Norwegian constitution. Christian Frederik becomes King of Norway (Norway by DK).
Apr, 1814: Danish Prince and Governor-General of Norway Christian Frederik gather at a country house in Eidsvoll to construct a Norwegian constitution with Frederik as its king. Swedish Crown Prince Karl Johan rejected this and invaded Norway, demanding the treaty of Kiel be implemented (Norway by DK).
Jan, 1814: The Treaty of Kiel; Norway surrenders to Sweden ending the 400-yr union of Danish-Norwegian rule. Christian Frederik, the Danish prince and governor-general of Norway, opposes the Treaty (Norway by DK).
1813: On the defeat of Napoleon, Swedish Crown Prince Karl Johan marches on Denmark (Norway by DK).
1807: Norwegian King Frederik VI allies with Napoleon. Britain retaliates by blockading Norway’s harbors. This combined with a continuing war with Sweden, meant Norway was surrounded and isolated, triggering years of hunger and hardship. 986: Danish King Harald Bluetooth’s son, Swein Forkbeard, revolts against his father and seizes the Danish throne. Harald was driven into exile and died shortly afterwards (Wiki).

958-986: Reign of Harald Bluetooth, son of King Gorm the Old and Thyra Dannebod, as Danish King. Harald introduced Christianity to Denmark and consolidated his rule over most of Jutland and Zealand.
